You can download JF and plug your drive into a sata port and JF might pick it up, if it does you can dump the FW, just follow the JF tut at jungleflasher.net .
And the reason why it will not play it if you have 1.6 is because it isn't stealth, IE 1.6 will not boot stealth games.

Your sentence is contradicting. You say the reason it wont play is because the game isnt stealth, and then go on to say it wont boot stealth games.

Yeah I messed up what I was saying. IE 1.6 will not allow you to play non-stealth games as a precaution to getting banned, therefore, if you have a non-stealth version(if it says its not stealthed) it will act as a dvd, like bullet21 said it was doing.
You have to make sure it is stealthed, run it through ABGX, if it passes, its good to go.
But david, I still say you have the original 1.6 that doesn't work. Its the only thing I can think of.

but if i extract it to my computer and check it with AGBX and it says its not stealth does this mean i have to patch it and play it, meaning no Live?

You can use the activate disc that came with 1.6 for one time boot to play it, or find a verified version.

Does schtrom not patch the ss files? I have never used it but have read it does.
ABGX usually injects the stealth too I believe...odd it isn't working for you.

i cant d/l them though cos i dont have cable internet. So i back em up of originals.

I just extracted it with Schtrom then i ran it through ABGX, ABGX said it was alright but schtrom and XBC said it failed the stealth test.

That's because their stealth checks are about 2 years old and didn't get updated. So they don't know Wave 3. I wouldn't wonder if burning with XBC is the reason for your errors. Use clonecd or imgburn.

Keep us updated when you get the 1.6 redone. If you paid I would have them do it for free. If it was crap firmware then they should replace it with good fw.

yeh but i use XBC to call imgburn. this shouldnt be a problem should it?

I have the same "play dvd" issue. i have been using the same burner with imgburn (unchanged settings) to burn 360 games. Suddenly I saterted getting this issue. The games I found to have this problem is Bionic Commando, Transformers 2 and Ghostbusters the Game.
I did not flash my drive and although I know its a Benq I dont know the firmware version. Is there any way to check without opening the console? Please help
