Hi, I have a wii with a wiikey at 3.4u.

My friend was using my wii and he updated the homebrew channel, looks like it had an autoupdate that he downloaded and then it asked him to "install the homebrew channel". Now when I try and load the homenbrew channel I just get a black screen and my wii shuts off (green light but no response).

So, how do I fix this?

Also, Should I update to 4.0? If so how do I do this? (Do I just follow the stickied tutorial even thought I have a wiikey?) Can I update online to 4 even though I already have a (broken) homebrew channel and a wiikey?

I think tomorow night, I will try and update through the net to 4.0 Then I will run bootmii and basically follow the softmod tutorial that is stickied at the top of this forum.

Anyone think this will cause a problem?

Try reloading the the old HBC look for version 1.0.1, or you can re-install the bannerbomb which includes the HBC 1.0.1, a lot of users had problem with 1.0.3 so one of the solution is revert back to 1.0.1.

Also if you still want to try and contend with 1.0.3 some people have had to delete the homebrew channel and use the hackmii installer to install 1.0.3 because of some problem with updating through the homebrew channel from 1.0.1 to 1.0.3
