Extracting Lite-on DVD key and Spoof String from an MS25?

So, I bought an Xbox 360 and swapped out the lite-on for a Samsung ms25 (With Ixtreme 1.4 spoofed as a lite-on). I don't have access to the information about the dvd key or spoof info, and I don't have the lite-on drive anymore. How do I extract the info from my MS25 and use it to upgrade to 1.6? Do I just dump the firmware as if it where a MS25? I'm told that the software used to dump the firmware will detect the drive as a lite-on and will need the serial adapter/refuse to dump. Is that true?

Also, Is the lite-on drive still the newest DVD drive out for the 360? Can all Xbox 360s still be modded?

Yes, all can be modded.
Yes, Lite-On is still the newest.
No, the software will know its a samsung and won't require the serial adapter.
Yes, just dump it and upgrade
