Maximus Xtractor Possible Problem?

I got my maximus xtractor the other day, went to my friends house and flashed his lite-on no problem.
Now yesterday My friend gave me his xbox so I went to flash his xbox and noticed on the xtractor that the led light for usb activity remained lit up even when I had nothing connected only the power.
I tryed to extract the key from my friends lite-on drive as normal and kept getting bad serial data error every time.
Any help?

I am having this same exact issue with xtractor by maximus. i was able to download all my drivers and such but now the usb activity light stays on no matter what when the power is on

Sometimes JF changes the com port when it's disconneted. Make sure com port is selected. It will be anything but com1 normally since most pc's have a serial port. Mine is com3. Should say status "ready". Are you getting a blue light on 707?

Mine is com Port 15, detects it fine, says its ready and shows in device manager. And yes I get the blue light on the probe.
