Safari 4 isn't bad in my opinion. I have it installed, along with a multitude of other browsers, so I can make sure a website I am creating can render properly on multiple browsers.
On the subject of Javascript speed I am not sure which test Apple used but when Lifehacker conducted a test of Firefox, IE 8, Chrome, and Safari they found on the Javascript test they did that Chrome was faster than Safari.
i downloaded it and installed it worked great except when i went on pogo games it said i need to get java plugin so i downloaded it . shut down browser and went back to pogo. and it said the same thing said i need plugin and wont work. still dont work.java icon comes on the bottom of page but wont play game.

i kept trying but would not work on game at pogo. so i uninstalled it.when they fix it i will try again.
