hi any 1 help i got the wave paranoia lol ive been online 4 6 mounth and im on firmware 1.4 and after this new maintenece 16th june im scard 2 go online i am upgrading to 1.6 but it will be in a weeks time im not sure if its safe 2 go online has any 1 been band since help me im a gears addict and i need 2 get bk on lol

In English ?, ie you'll need to ditch the lazy and annoying text speak in future.

hi any one help me, ive got the wave paranoia, ive been online for 6 months and im on firmware 1.4 and after this new maintenece 16th june im scard 2 go online. I am upgrading to 1.6 but it will be in a weeks time im not sure if its safe to go online has any one been band since. Help me im a gears addict and i need 2 get back online

If you think about it you have a better chance of being banned from having you Gamertag linked to you signature in this forum. If Microsoft was a bit smarter they could catch all you guys going on about how you have modded consoles.

and i could also say i was speeding today, doing 100 in a 65, but the cops cant give me a ticket from something i posted on a forum, no proof. so banning by what someone says on a forum wouldnt go to well. especially since many people overstate everything to make them look better.

Buying two hard drives and using one for backups and the other for originals should be fine for not getting banned. Any game information must be stored on the hard drive? Where else could it possibly be stored? Therefore, only play the originals online with a different hdd that you don't use for backups.

really? you honestly think that? if so then you really need to do some reading. if this was true then everyone, including myself, that used their same HD after their first console got banned one their second console, would have been banned as well. assuming any information is stored regarding the 'exactness' of a rip it has to be stored on the console.

I am not saying they are going to ban you because you mention it ,but they could always check your console out that is linked to your gamer tag and see if it has any flags.

If it has any flags they will already be banning you so I don't think it will make much difference. I'm pretty sure they spend a good amount of resources looking for consoles that are throwing up flags because what is it that people do when they get banned? Thats right, buy a new box= Giving MS more money.

that's an awesome idea.
i actually stay safe by using the wireless adapter. the sniffers that ms sends out can only go through land lines and not over teh w1r3l3s5.
when the banhammer is swinging really hard and people are getting banned left and right i use extra protection by placing a rubber around my wireless router.
hope this helps the fight against the banhammer!

Everyone Wondering about how you get banned:
The ban happens when your systems reports back home everytime you connect to xbox live. It will check things about the games you play (thats the deal with the copy protection) and the reason for Angle 359 and so on why the firmware helps with that.
If any of that information your system sends back Wireless or Hardline is bad it will be flagged and you will be banned. Wireless will not help you nor save you from a ban.
It bans the system not the Hard drive. which is why I like most people have more than one system.
