I just flashed my Hitachi 0079FL from ixtreme 1.4 to 1.51

I used the connector kit and jungle flasher v0.1.62

Restored to stock then flashed with 1.51

everything seems to work fine on the pc (tray will open and close, will read disks and shows that the correct firmware is flashed)

Problem: when i plug into my console, the dashboard boots, but i cannot eject the dvd rom. i have a solid green light. when i press eject button it flashes once and nothing happens. (usually it will flash a couple of times and then open)

tried flashing back to stock, didn't work
tried flashing back to v1.4 didn't work

Is the drive getting stuck in any way? Like when it's connected to the PC it will eject, but when it's in the system it will not. Look to see if something is keeping it from doing so.

i just noticed that on the dashboard, under "my xbox" it has an option to close the tray even though it is already closed. when i hit "a" on the controller, it says it is trying to read a disk even though nothing is in the drive

It says read disk for every console when you close the tray, for a short time, i wouldn't be worried about that.

Check that all the cables are plugged in properly and that none of them are being pinched by the case.

I had an issue like this with a Hitachi 47. The center light would flash once and say opening, I would press eject again, and it would say closing. The whole time the drive wouldn't eject. I re-connected the drive and it would lock up my computer. Eventually my computer would unlock and I was able to get the DVD key. I just ended up replacing the drive.

i tried switching the SATA cable from the short xbox one to the longer one used on the PC that didn't work either. I know the power cable is not damaged because that is what i am using to power it on PC through the connector kit

i have already bought a new drive, if worse comes to worse i can just use this one to backup my games and leave it hooked up to my computer since it works on there, but i would really like to have this one working though... any more suggestions would be much appreciated
