I currently own all 4 seasons of the sopranos, and would like to make backups just incase. I used dvd-decrypter and dvd2one and it worked but the quality is noticably different and i can't stand it. Can anyone give me detailed instructions on how i can take 2 eposides and the menus at the same time? If the information works and is reliable i will even pay a fee for the information. Thanks
PM me

You can use anydvd with CloneDVD 2 (elby version) or anydvd and Nero 6. Both will do the job. I have used both to back up Alias season 1 and 2 as well as Mash. For Alias I put two episodes plus menu on each dvd.
Hope this helps, and keep the change ;)

You can also use DVD Decrypter and IFOEdit. I have had great success using this to split the disc with functioning menus on both.
Rip the disc to your HD using DVD Decrypter.
Create two new folders on your C:
(First_disc & Second_disc)
Open IFOEdit - click on OPEN (go to VTS with the episode VOBS (the largest).
Click on VOB extras.
Leave the check boxes with their default values.
Under "File/Directory Paths" enter the two new folders you created above.
Click OK.
Here you will be selecting a split point. You are concerned with the VOB-ids only.
HBO episodes always have an introduction. It will be the VOBid that is associated with all the PGC's. Since Season 2 disc 2 has four episodes, you'll want to split it at where it says "Uses VOB-IDS:(3,#) where # is the VOD-id of the intro. I don't remember it right now.
Single click to highlight the line with CH 01 of the PGC which contains VOB-ID 3. Do not highlight the line above it which includes the PGC information or you will not split it in the correct space(actually 1st disc will have all episodes, and 2nd will have none).
Click on "Split it" and wait for it to finish. Hint: Move the progress bars down to where they are hidden from your view for much faster progress. Not sure why, but it works.
When it has completed, you should see files in the new folders you created that are about the same size. The number of the VTS will be the same as the original VTS which contained all four episodes.
Now you need to copy over any other VTS's that were on the original folder that you ripped using DVD Decrypter. Be sure to copy them into both the First_Disc folder and the Second_disc folder.
Now, back in IFOEdit, open the VTS_TS.IFO for the First_disc folder. Click on Get VTS sectors. Click "OK" for each pop-up you get stating which tables were corrected. Close out of IFOEdit. Repeat for Second_disc folder. You should now have two folders which when burned will have two episodes each with fully functioning Menus. I usually test each folder out first with Power DVD player to make sure the menus work before I burn them using Nero. Note: When you go to the menu for episode selection, if you click on an episode that is no longer there, it should just bring you back to the episode menu again.

Hope this helps. Wopper
