WBFS Kingston Datatraveler 100 8GB now isn't responding

I just bought this 8gb flash drive for the sole purpose of being able to back up my games to it. I used the usb/sd loader 1.5 and it automatically formatted my flash drive to a WBFS, and backed up files onto it just fine. However, when I went to actually load the files, the program froze. Frusterated, I left it in the Wii for a while and just today decided I wanted to see if I could get it working again, with the same problem, so I try formatting it on my computer, and what do I find? My computer can't open it at all. Can't even format it, and I've tried the datamanager and setting the drive to performance and etc. etc., google has no answer for me.

My question specifically is, does this issue have anything to do with it turning into a WBFS drive (and I've tried accessing it using WBFS manager already to no avail), or is the USB drive just broken? I'm a hair from just destroying it.
