Grand Slam Tennis won't work, but everything else does????

I don't know why it doesn't work, but I'm on my 3rd coaster now. I've been using Verbatim DVD-R media and every other backup burns and works perfectly fine.... except for Grand Slam Tennis. I've tried burning at 2x, and 4x, all with no luck. I've even tried with another iso but still can't get the wii to recognize the game disc. It's hardmodded with a Wiikey and the system is updated to 4.0U so I really have no idea what's causing the problem. Anyone have similar issues or can suggest a solution? Any help would be reeeeeaaallly appreciated - thanks guys.

I cant offer any advice but man I havnt been able to play it either.. After 2 coasters I installed usb loader and installed it from the pc and it worked but motion+ doesnt. Its jumpy and unresponsive but Tiger 2010 works great from the disk and usb loader..
I dont know whats up with that game but im glad to know Im not the only one its driving crazy.

Do you have game disc update blocked on the Wiikey?
If so try unblocking it and see if there is an update.
Of course only do this if the game is the same region as your system.
You can always enable game disc update block again after.

not that i know of, i believe i've updated from backup game discs before. and ive only tried PAL versions so far, I have an NTSC-U wii, but the chip lets me play PAL backups

I have a different problem... I bought GST (PAL) with bundled WM+ but somehow it doesn't load in my modded wii (WiiKey 1 with ver.3.3E installed). The image shows on the Disc Channel but screen turns blank/black upon pressing START & the system eventually hangs. What I can't understand is that the disc is an Original one but still fails to load. What could be the issue/s & how to fix this thing?
I have my LAN adapter installed & was planning to do a System Update to version 4 (also upload Internet Channel browser & others) but I'm not sure if this would eventually harm the console even more. Any suggestions/help will be greatly appreciated - I have limited knowledge on the Wii lingo so please bear with me.
PS. I modded my Wii in my intent to play original NTSC games (I'm in NZ with PAL system) like Outdoor Challenge, but ended up copying the game & making it region-free by the mod technician as it failed to play the Original NTSC disc

I remember running a wiikey update disc a while ago, 1.9s I believe. But I do not remember a setting like that being offered. No biggie.

It is different then the update disc. You can download the config disc from HERE. Make sure you download the proper region config disc.

It is at the top under the 1.9s update disc...

What else can I do with the config disc?
I am guessing I need to burn it to a dvd-r so the wii reads it, and just let it run?

I have the exact same problem and update block is off on my wiikey.
No results whatsoever.

Try updating to system menu 4.1U
I read somewhere that they released 4.1 because there was some bug with motion+.
There is a thread here you can search for about updating to 4.1U with only what you need and nothing you don't... a safe update if you will.
also I would look into cios38 rev 14 by waninkoko if you dont already have it
between those 2 things- you should be able to get this game to work. I know it works great on my system burnt it at 8x.
I never burn lower then that and i never have problems (Verbatim disc from supermediastore.com)
