i know it is safe to update my wii using pal region games(my wii is pal obviously) but is it safe to run the wii update when prompted if i have used a region patcher on a ntsc game?
main problem is that im trying to get tiger woods 2010 and pro evo to work but they are ntsc versions that i have patched. any views and opinions much appreciated as i dont wanna brick my wii.

Never update from an out of region disc.

Use WiiBrickBlocker on it or check and see if your Modchip has a block update option you can enable.

i have already usedd brickblocker on the games but am still getting the black screen when its brickblocked and a prompt to update when i dont. is there any way to guarantee the downloaded game is from my region?

not all games are compatible or can be modified to play on any region, best bet is to get the game with your own region then you can update.
