Help install cIOS

Howdy

I know there are many tuts on how to install cIOS 7 and above, I have tried all I could find (here and GBAtemp), none seem to work

I have a launch australian wii (PAL obviously). It is currently 4.0E. I updated to 4.0 before following all the recommendations. I already have the homebrew channel installed and working fine. I am trying to update my cIOS but just can't seem to be able to. The usual error I get is -1035. I've tried following the guides that relate to this error, but they don't seem to help either.

You said you are trying to update your cIOS?

Which cIOS did you have before? If you have one of the earlier Custom37s (revision 1-3) You will have to uninstall it first before you install one of the newer ones. I don't think you can install rev 4-13 over 1-3.

not sure what cIOS I had before. will look for a cIOS uninstaller and then try to install cIOS 13. think I have tried this before. will try again. maybe the steps above have fixed part of the problem

I don't think the older cIOS could be uninstalled with cIOS Uninstaller (I could be wrong). You might have to get Any Title Deleter and delete IOS249.

DO NOT DELETE ANY OTHER IOS VERSION!

Great news. complete success. Thanks to larru and AMatthews for their help and the guys who made the tuts

I used any title deleter to get rid of iso249, then completes the guide linked to above and finally the softmod guide in the sticky thread. now USB loader working as well as all my wads
