First Xbox Mod ********PLEASE HELP*******

Hello Afterdawn Community,
I am about to mod my xbox 360. I need a little help first...
I want to be able to play all my backed up games, I want to be able to play them on xbox live safely, I may want to possibly mod halo 3 in the future.
- Does the Blaster NE suck? Is it compatible with any system.
- Can I played my backed up games with the blaster? If not what mod should I use.
- Do I need anything else besides the blaster ne kit?
- Am I able to flash my xbox hard drive with the kit provided with the blaster NE?
- Can I play these games on xbox live safely?
I have more questions for those who don't want to post but would like to help or just want to help more, please leave a messenger name, like aim, msn, skype.

just flash your drive with iextreme 1.6. plenty of tuts around. jungle flasher supposed to be good to use thease days. make sure you get your drive key code when you dump you original f/w bewfore you proceed with anything else.

Ya but is the Blaster the only this i need? OR do I need a actual mod chip.

1, yes and yes
2, blaster is not a mod, just makes upgrading your dvd drive later in life a little bit easier
3 yes you do, please use the search bar, you need a computer, a via 6421 pci sata card
4 no, you dont flash the hard drive, please read the tutorials then ask questions
5 sort of, you will eventually get banned, so either flash it or dont flash it.

It is just easier to open your system and flash the drive than waste 50$ or so on the Blaster NE.

You need a compatible SATA chipset to flash your drive. Some onboard SATA work on PCs, if not, you will need the VIA SATA card with the 6421 chipset.

If you have a new XBOX 360, it will more than likely have a Lite-ON drive. You will need a key reader to get the key and other unique-per-drive info yours contains.

When flashing your drive and playing backups online, there is no guarantee that you will be 100% safe. The firmware team goes to great measures to give you the best chance at not getting banned, but again, there is NO guarantee.

I am looking for answers, I have looked for tutorials and never seem to find one that helps me.
What is the best modification product, such as a modchip or flashing software.
I don't know where to start.
I need all the help i can from a-z.

Just use JF like the poster above me stated. Make sure you have a compatible chipset. If not you will have to buy a VIA card. If you have a lite-on drive you will need a way to extract the key. There are tuts on here how to build a probe stickied at the top of forums.
You have been given plenty of info to get you started. You have to do a little research also, we won't spoon feed you.

The spoon feeding is understandable. But when I modded my first xbox it took some time to find a good way that i knew would not damage my xbox and that I was able to use for what i needed.
There are a lot of options out there and probably a few that are not good and not worth it.
I just want something that will work, I started this for so I could get a better grasp on what to aim for.

Jungle Flasher is the way to go. Easy has a built in tutorial to walk you through it. You really cant go wrong. Find out what drive you have also. do a search on xbox 360 drive comparison.

Will do necrana, but it seems more people use Iextreme, also is a mod chip needed at all? or just the hard drive needs to be flashed?

Ixtreme is the firmware. JF is the program to flash it with. Flash is the way to go. Stay away from chipped if you can.

Cool you have all been a large help, I understand it a whole lot better.
So all I need is a connection kit to connect to the xbox, then I need to connect it, use the JF program and flash it with iextreme.
Sounds very simple, are there a lot of setting I have to tweak in order for JF to work or will it automatically recognize the xbox drive.
Where can I get iextreme, I have not looked for it yet.

You can get everything you need at xbins. Do a search for auto xbins its the easiest if your not for sure how to use Mirc.
You might also need a probe depending on what kind of DvD drive you have.
Jungle flasher is pretty easy. Just follow the built in guide and you cant go wrong.

The blaster 360 can be used to backup games, and flash 360... a kreon drive is about $50 anyway, I think it is worth getting one.
