nd how much do they go for? gamestop it says like 40 bucks, but that sounds pretty crazy jus for a cable so if nebody knows a cheaper store let me know, id appreciate it

Not quite as cheap as the above link, but it is from a distributor that I trust. Not to say that Monoprice is bad in anyway, but I personally have never used them so can't recommend you use or not use them. Newegg has been nothing but great and I've been dealing with them for several years.

Monoprice is a trusted and well known site to purchase items from (as that is what they deal with specifically in ~ cables & component connections etc). Their products have been tested and verified on numerous forums and tech sites (heres one site that swears by them http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/ ).

So while Newegg might be a better "known" website, the product of which you would be buying is potentionally a cheaper than quality standards product. Though in all honesty I do buy all my online computer electronics purchases through Newegg, so it is highly unlikely their HDMI cables are of shoddy craftsmanship.

Ebay. I bought mine for $2 with free shipping. Don't bother with an expensive HDMI cable, they aren't any better than the cheap ones.

Just to re-iterate ~ be careful where you buy your cable(s) from because you can run into unforeseen issues because of the manufacturing quality of the product. Just because it is cheap doesn't mean it's bad but at the same time if it is cheap but you don't know who or how it's made or to what standards...well you can run into problems like this ~ http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/776760 where you are trying to figure out if it is the HDMI cable, monitor or PS3 itself.
