Ive recently moved to texas where they use a different ISP roadrunner. they have a wireless router that sends the signal to my laptop and from there to my xbox. Getting online is not a problem tho. the problem comes when im in the middle of a CoD4 match and out of no where it says "connection interupted" or some bs. then it takes me to the lobby and says "searching for best host". I dont know if i have a shitty ISP or what. ive done port forwarding, ive set up the DMZ and enabled the UPnP. (not at the same time) one thing im curious about tho if im setting up a DMZ or portforward do i set it up to my laptop or my 360? There have been times were ive been able to play for hours with no problems at all and then sometimes it does it all the time. speed test results below and yes my network is secure. thanks for ne help.

I hope you dont mind me asking why are you running your xbox 360 through your computer? Do you have the wireless adapter for the 360? or you doing a Cross over cable from your 360 to computer?

well im kind of a cheap ass and refuse to spend 100 bones on a wireless adapter for my 360 when i can use my laptop (with a cross over cable) for free.

Well being cheap doesnt pay!

Thats about all. Your Xbox isnt getting a true IP and your having to share your IP over your laptop.

So if your laptops connection dies or a firewall issue or anything happens boom your knocked off Xbox Live. You really need to just pony up the cash and get one. Heck get one used off CL or somewhere.

The other thing you can do is get a Wireless Connector for the Cable they cost like 30-40 bucks when I looked last time and configure it with you laptop first then connect the cable from the xbox to the device and it should work that way.

Till then nothing anyone is able to do really its your setup not your ISP's fault.
