ram poke failed hitachi restore please help !!!

hi i am trying to restore my hitachi 47 drive with jungle flasher and ck3 pro kit i put original firmware and the ixtreme 1.51 into the firmware folder and put the drive into mode b useing jungle flasher selected the drive and tried to restore it starts and then after a while its says ram poke failed why is this

You dont need the ck3 for flashing a hitachi just use the console and try putting drive into mode b using slax, alot of people are running into problems when they are using jf for this!

Try a different transfer method rather than Ram Poke.

so dont use jungle flasher to put it into mode b use slax and then try restore useing jungle flasher and then it should work? i have just been useing the ck3 to power the drive also my other hitchi 47 drive doesnt get detected with jungle flasher ?

I always use slax to get into mode b, never had much luck with jf, and like leerage said try a different transfer method, i think it should be ram upload anyway!

i have niver used slax but i have the cd kickin aboot is it easy enough to do yae i tried a diff trasfer method still says ram poke failed will try slax now a see what happens

Yeh, boot pc with slax in cd and then about 2 seconds after that boot xbox, keep watching your monitor and when it says spinning up disk press eject on the xbox drive then let slax run until it says login, your drive should now be in mode b!

hi i have tried to put the drive into mode b useing slax 2.1 but a fatal error occured live data not found and tells me to put everything in c:\alldata and boot again what am i doing wrong do i need to disable raid or summin like that if so how do i do that ?

Dont know mate, never had anything like that, where did you get your slax disk from, i use slax 2.0, you can get that from xbins, just google easy xbins and its in xbox360/ firmware/ firmware tools, download it and burn the iso with imgburn, as for raid you arent supposed to have any raid installed, What sata device are you using, Is it the via 6421?

i got a new slax from xbins got imgburn and burned again tried again with the same thing happening is there another way i can get the firmware updated or anything i can do to sort this

When you put your drive into mode b with jf did it take 2 press of the eject button to eject your drive and the centre light on the front of your console keep flashing, also did you try restoring using portio or winapi?

i used ck3 for powering the drive only and wen putting it into mode b with jf it does take 2 press and the drive is asigned a letter and winapi it wont let be select portio i hade uninstalled the via 6421 drivers as a got told to do this i think i reinstalled them but

i just got it onto mode b with my other pc but just relised need xbox so i can restart without turning drive off gonna try again after my dinner and i will get bck

You need the via drivers installed mate, you only un-install them when flashing a lite-on drive because it freezes when erasing, when installing you will get 2 things to install, only install the drivers!

snowman thanks alot for the help i ran into a few problems on the way but managed to get there in the end i tried it today with no problems was done in 15 mins i gotta laf after all the bother i had the slax was puttin it into mode b but then windows wasnt booting right i just took the sata cable out to boot and then put it back in seemed to work happy now can play new games this site is the best!!!
