Hey first time flashing.
Trying to flash a hitachi v78 and a toshiba samsung fail everytime in jungle flasher.
Can get it in modeB with JF but no further.
Only difference I can see between mine and the tutorial is in JF for the device it says VIA VT6421 RAID Controller with mine it says VIA RAID Controller - 3249. The Chipset I have is VT6421A. I installed the drivers for it and just read somewhere you shouldn't.
Also I have the firmware in the firmware folder but it does not have the orange cone icon beside it. Did I forget to download something?

To remove driver:

1. Disable VIA Card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers folder and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-Enable VIA Card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.

Thanks v.much leerage that was the problem.
Flashed my toshiba-samsung drive successfully but I think I bricked my Hitachi as soon as I put it in modeB the tray just keeps ejecting.
I managed to dump the firmware off it with the via drive installed but then it froze like the lions.
Ah well there cheap enough on ebay.
Thanks again!

Congrats. Glad you got the Samsung flashed. I would get a BenQ to replace that Hitachi. The BenQ supports Bad Flash recovery so you won't ever brick the drive! :)
