I was wondering is .mp2 at rate 48000 224 bit rate the only appropiate audio that you can play on dvd? I am trying to go from (s)vcd to dvd and I can not seem to convert the .mp2 44100 file to .mp2 48000. I have tried besweeet head3ache 1.52 and I have tried tmpgenc plus 2.5. I get an error with besweet and head3ache. When I use tmpgenc the audio file is encoded so fast that I can not understand what they are saying. So I was wondering is there another audio encoding method I can use to get (s)vcd on dvd.

standard dvd is 48khz. converting frequency usually will result in loss of data.
but i'm not sure if you can put a 44100hz to dvd, i know an xsvcd can.......

but converting in TMPGEnc, go to options>enviromental settings>audio engine>smapling frequency convertor.
choose high quality.
