i used this simple guide here it contains a universal unbricker and cfw which you can go to 5.00m33-6 with it also contains the 1.5kernl so you can play most homebrew it also contains official firmware 3.71 (i think).

But you will also need a pandora battery to unbrick your psp you can either buy one from a shop like amazon which is what i recommend, or you can hard mod your original battery if you have a spare but i recommend buying one as it is best option and less risky.

if you have any probs just ask on this post and il do ma best to help!

this way is totally safe and cfw opens your psp to a whole lot more you can play backups straight off your mem stick and installing 1.5kernel is great for homebrew.

NOTE: you need a mem stick (pro duo and best to have magic gate)512mb recommended for installing with that guide!

Hi,

Well now i have the pandora battery with me now and i tried ubricking the my psp.

What i have done is
1. First i have used Rain's Simple MMS Maker application to create Magic memory stick.
2. In that application i have selected firmware version 4.01 and i have created magic memory.
3. Then i inserted the magic memory stick into psp and i have inserted the Pandora battery also. Then i have one video which shows on how to unbrick psp's he say's to insert the Pandora battery and hold power button and the L button well i have done what ever he said in that video but i dont see any thing on my psp its still completely black.

Now i am confused and i really dont know wht to do even if i have a pandora battery.

Please try to understand my problem and as i am completely new to this concept i am out of options. I suppose u r the one who can help me through.

Waiting for ur reply
Regards,
Chaitu

Just a quick thing to remember DO NOT use the 1.50 kernel on a 2000 PSP or you may end up with a paperweight. Instead use LEDA 0.2(Link here) by Dark Alex it was made to replace 1.50 kernel and works on 2000.
