I am totaly new to burning dvd's, haven't tried one yet, i got nero6 but haven't a clue of what to do.....can someone tell me if i can burn mpg files using nero or do i have to convert the file to something else?.....can someone guid me to what i should be doing?

I do not think that you can use Nero to burn mpg files on to a DVD (unless it's a data DVD). You can definitely use Ulead DVD Moviefactory to do this.

hi mrrod
you can use Nero to burn mpegs as long as you use dvd authoring software first,i use dvd author to rip vobs from the mpegs to burn in Nero.
try this guide..http://www.dvd-guides.com/guides.php?category=dvdauthor&name=tmpegencdvdauthor
trial version available for dvd author.
this is the method i use but there are several others

Hi Jim, i got hold of dvd author to spoke about, i don't see how you rip VOB from mpeg though....everytime i load an mpeg file i get an error ststing a video header is nessasery for every gop?....do you know what i'm doing wrong here?

When you run it through dvd author it rips your mpeg to vobs.But i dont know whats wrong with that error message,ive never gotten that before.I guess your gonna need someone elses help for that one.
If i were to guess id say it was encoded wrong.
