I performed a deep scan this morning to try to get back channels that went missing recently.

It appeared to find all the channels, however I when I try to watch any of them they are continually breaking up (going "blocky").

The signal strength is showing about 80% and when I plug the same cable into a V+ box the picture is fine.

Has something else changed with the new transponders?
Should I be using the same symbol rate as before?

I'm in Manchester on a formerly C&W network...

Any help gratefully appreciated.

Thanks,
Mark

Have you tried a factory reset and rescan again?

OK, Thanks for that, seems a lot better now. Still the odd glitch in the picture but it's watchable.

Incidentally, there was a big storm a couple of weeks ago that took out my cable internet. When the engineer eventually turned up he fixed it by replacing the splitter in the box outside on the wall.
I've also got a splitter inside to supply a V+ box and a Eurovox (which wasn't around when the engineer came). Could that have been damaged too?

He also put a 10dB attenuator in line with the box (was previously 6dB). I've tried various combinations of these but it doesn't seem to make much difference to the picture glitches. The "Online" light on the V+ box now flashes when supplied through the splitter, but is stable when supplied direct (even through 10dB + 6dB attenuation).

Thanks,
Mark

Sounds likes the signal coming into your house is actually too strong, hence the attenuators. The splitter in the box outside may have been a isolator that may have been damaged.

If the subbed box is having a problem via the splitter the Eurovox will definitely have problems. Have you tried replacing the splitter? But be careful as it may be a tap rather than a standard splitter, it will say it on the splitter/tap.
