I've been using USB Loader GX successfully for a while, adding games from my laptop to my external hard drive. All was going well. Unfortunately, WBFS Manager now won't recognize my drive, saying it may be in use (it's not) or it's not formatted to WBFS (it is). I don't want to reformat in fear of losing my games. Everything still loads perfectly fine on my Wii, I just can't add any more games from my laptop. Is there any way to backup my games from USB Loader to, say, a flash drive? Or any other drive for that matter? Thanks for any help.
Yes, I've clicked the load button. That's when I get the error message. Perhaps I didn't correctly set up the partition. It's just strange that it was working fine for a few days. Oh well, I'll just have to reformat and start again. Is there a specific way to format and set up my drive for use in WBFS Manager? Should my hard drive be formatted to FAT first before I create the WBFS partition?
assuming you have XP, go to control panel, administrative tools, computer management, disk manager, right click the harddrive then delete partition, then add the new partition, don't select a file system for it, then go to wbfs and format it, always works for me.
Not quite sure what happened. Even though it doesn't work in my laptop, I have discovered that the hard drive works fine in my desktop. So I'll just use my desktop. I'll continue tinkering with it down the road, but for now, I'm set. Thanks for all the help. I appreciate it.
