Hello, I received my sh-d163b in the mail today. I was planning on flashing it with the Kreon firmware. So, I ran the sfdnwin.exe, chose my sh-d163b, chose the SH-D163B_SB01_KREON_V100.BIN firmware file, and, to my surprise, it gave me an error message! It said, "This Firmware is not compatible with the selected drive." I then realized that it was sb01, and mine was sb03. So, is there any way to either downgrade my firmware to make it compatible, use this firmware anyway, or find a Kreon firmware compatible with my version of this drive? Thanks in advance.

Nevermind, I solved it. I had it plugged into my VIA chipset, which is apparently incompatible. Once I plugged it into the onboard chipset, it still gave me an error message. I flashed anyways, it stalled out, but when I rebooted, everything was fine, and I was able to rip my games!

Same here. I got the error message, but it still flashed successfully.
Where did you get your SH-D163B from? I had to get mine from Germany.

Thanks. Do you got a link to download the firmware? And do I have to use DosFlash32 or sfdnwin to flash the drive?

Xbins has the firmware.
I imagine DosFlash32 would be fine, as the 0800 firmware is just a version of iXtreme.

I found the post on xbins about 0800 firmware. But I don't understand how to download the firmware, it only gives a description of the firmware.

Copy/paste the release name into Google and you will be able to find a download link for it.
Also, check this out -- You apparently need to enable the 0800 mode of the drive once you get it flashed:
Quote: Using the Drive in Windows to Read in Xbox and 360 Games:
1. Burn the Enable 0800 ISO onto a DVD5 if you haven't already. It can be found in the upper right hand corner of the "MTK Flash 32" tab in JungleFlasher, as stated previously.
2. Shut down the computer and the DVD drive (or the xbox if you are using it to power the drive).
3. Turn the PC on and enter the BIOS. Once there, power on the DVD drive and put the Enable 0800 DVD into the drive. After about 10 seconds, eject the drive and remove the disc. Exit the BIOS and boot to Windows. (If using the 360 to power the drive, once the PC is off, power the 360, put the DVD in the drive for 10 seconds, remove the DVD, then turn the computer back on and boot to Windows).
4. Once in windows you should be able to see the 360 drive as a normal drive. If you right click on the drive and select "Eject", the 360 drive should respond.
5. Assuming it responds, you are now ready to read in your original games using Xbox Backup Creator or schtrom360xtract.
