I'm looking for some help as to firstly be able to load homebrew and secondly if it would be benificial for my wii. I am currently running a japanese wii 3.4J which is modded with a d2sun chip. The wii was bought by my folks as a gift when they visited China for the Olympics last year, however with me living in Oz, all i want to do is play original PAL games on my console, not iso's or the like, and i'd like not have to get myself to nightschool to learn japanese to be able to read the bloody menu's!!! At present my console will run PAL versions Mario Kart and Carnival of Games, however when i try to play Zelda TP (needed to run homebrew hacks) it gets to the loading screen, then goes blank, before the warnings about knocking people out with your wiimote if they're too close. All four buttons on the wiimote go bananas if you press them, then the whole console freezes and can only be revived by holding down the on/off button on the console for 5 seconds. I have also tried to play G1 Jockey PAL on the console but that will also not load due to it attempting a firmware update. Is there an a way of allowing my wii to play newer games? or will i have to end up being the Michael Schumacher of the Mario Kart world??
