I want to be able to play xvid,divx,avi and other formats from USB stick.
I have 4.0 and homebrew, is this possible? If so what and how do I get this to work??

put Mplayer CE in apps folder..also read the installation procedure.

Fiber will Mplayer also work if i want to play movies from my external harddrive thats partitioned wbfs?

no, WBFS is proprietary to USB loader only. So it should be FAT32 not sure if NTFS is supported. Mplayer wont even detect your WBFS as well as windows(XP/VISTA or other OS). So you have to partition your HDD into 2, FAT32 and WBFS where FAT32 should be located on the first segment.
