no channels on the box usb

Hi folks.im brand new to this box only got it about 20 mins ago.it had the new software on it but not the one from yesterday.i done a factory reset and uploaded the newest firmware.i then done a scan and it didnt find any channels at all.what have i done wrong?any help would be great.cheers

Have you got the cable feed plugged into the right connector on the back? reads 'Cable input'
NOT the one which says aerial input

yeah have it in the right one i was watchin the tv before i put the new firmware on it

Goto system information and double check its the correct firmware, sounds like you may have the uk firmware on it?

Did you turn the keycode back on after factory reset?

I'd factory setting again
Then try scan again on ntsmell

Yes thats right. Then go to menu do a factory reset, scan on your provider and then turn keycode back on.

ok reading this its a new box,it cant have updated firmware as they come freeview only,does it first need the 1.10 flashed first then the beta fix added,then autoscan ur provider and keycode to on,does the beta file replace the 1.10??? and finally did u look in thru vents for a heatsink-clone?

Try loading on one of the channel dumps from eamos library at least then you can press the signal button and make sure everythings a ok

finally some have scanned in but am still missing some for eg the adult channels are gone,sky premiers isnt there along with others.
