Absolutely, unless it has a TA-088v3 (or higher) motherboard.

ive tried making a couple mms and i have a pandora battery but when i put them both in the psp but nothing comes up on the screen, the battery light is on but nothing else

and the light for the memory stick isnt on either

Is the PSP you are working with bricked or not?

EDIT: It seems you have the newer TA-088v3 motherboard. This motherboard is unhackable to date. Sorry... (see here: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/709168)

Question. I have the black PSP 2001 with firmware 3.80. Can this be hacked? I have been trying to find answers but getting alternate answers.

If anyone can help me with this I would appreciate it.

just got into this last week, so don't hold me to it. I had everything correct with the file structure on the MS but it would give me a black screen. I read somewhere to hit x after u see the lights on the left side of the psp blink. After that wait 5-10 minutes and it will power itself off and will be updated.

I got a screen by plugging in a combination of the power adapter and the pc/usb cable. Sorry I didnt notice which did it, but the 2 after that showed a screen with no usb or power attached.....very weird. Try it though.
