I really want to try it out...it looks so simple. It would be a great, low cost alternative to a blaster 360. Never have to open your 360 to flash/rip again.
Yeah that is pretty cool. Would be quick and easy to flash your drive. Or if you were wanting to do back-ups with ix1.6 0800 mode, that would nice too.
i did it a few months back, but sadly i have a hitachi so i never get to update my FW anyway lol. newegg has the bracket for like 5 bucks shipped if anyone is looking.
Would the time put into this really be less than that of just opening up the 360 every time? Also, at least that way, if it ever breaks, it's not blatantly obvious you have a modded console.

If it ever gets rrod i could just switch the modded case with my unmodded one. It would take me about 20 mins to do this mod... alot less time than opening it up every time I wanted to rip a game.
