WHo all has had success with getting punchout to work on a Jap Wii.

I got a disc sent to me from US and I've tried everything. I even d/led a PAL version to see if it worked and it gave me the same greenflash blackscreen lockup as all my attempt of the backup US

I am also having this problem. Every other game I've tried works except Punch Out. I always get the black screen.

Yea, I also have a Japanese Wii and I was told to softmod it and run Punch Out from the backup launcher. I did all that and it still didn't work. I tried everything, re-downloading, re-burning, using different dvd-r discs....nothing worked and no one seems to have a solution.

I got punch out to work on my ntsc-j wii... just follow the softmod guide by larryje in this forum and also install the proper ios you need to get punch out working... search through the forum...ppl have posted up what ios's you'll need. My jap wii works fine with all backups but only works with softmod and launching the game with gammaR4.
