Has anyone a tutorial on how to get this new fix into the dreambox, im familair with flashing the box, using a null modem cable and Dreamup software. iv a cross over cable ,should this be used ? & what software ??
A "how to" would be of great help.

The ones I had a look at where using Pli and I could add the cam quite easily. DK 1.1 I have not tried as of yet and they wont let me experiment on their working boxes here sorry :(
Have you tried it from tuxbox?

I am usining dk 1.1 image, used ftp to transfer files into var/bin and changed attributes to 755.Then pressed blue button and went into tubox commander and selected var/ bin the hypercam 1.06 is visible in this folder highlight it and press ok to execute and save settings then exit out of tubox went to s*y sport 1 and waited for a minute
then changed to s*y sport 2. and bingo back in business.

Hi Westham, just reading your message. Very new to this so would you be able to tell me where how you changed the attributes to 755. Your help would be much appreciated

FTP all 3 files to the folder Var/bin.
Right click on each file to properiies and change permissions value to 755.
Press blue button on remote, go to Tux Commander.
Select var/bin and hightlight hypercam 1.06.
Press OK to execute, SAVE settings and exit.
Tune to Sly Sports or Sly Movies and wait a minute or two, then change channel again.
All channels should now be available,

Hi col thanks for the reply, well don't know what iv'e done but now my box won't start. I tried rebooting it and now it wont load the front DK image, green flash of light across screen then it tries reload again this happens continuously (sigh) oh well will try and load a image with the null cables. Hopefully i haven't bricked it.

To change the attributes when in the ftp program you right click the file go to properties and there shoould be a number at the bottom were you can change it. I think its on six hundread and something just delete that and change ot to 755. Hope this helps

Ah you'll be grand mate, its hard to brick up a dreambox. Just reimage it with the latest image from eamos library and start from scratch, trial and error, but well worth the end result! Lets know how to get on, - Im off to watch a good movie on telly now, lol!

Hi guys. Have done all as shown but still no pic. I am using DW image. Does the fix work with this or only the DK1 image?

Not quite sure, as I only have DK image but I know this works a treat as Im up and running. Try loading the DK image from eamos library first then FTP the new N2 (temp) fix files, following above procedure.

Ok , followed the process. however just to clarify..
1. Start box
2. Install var/bin 3 files
3. chmod 755 & exit FTP
4. Enter Tuxbox and go to var/bin directory
5. Highlight hypercam_1.06 & Ok to bring up execute option
6. Select execute & blank blue screen
7. exit & repeat exit and save
8. Select sky sports and leave for few min
9. Change Channel..
Its still doesnt work ... can someone flash a backup image if they have it working...
Or am i missing a step ? ? :):):)

Something wrong if your getting a blank blue screen! It should read:- Starting hypercam v1.06
Settings reloaded
Logs are disabled
