You can cut a lan cable in half and join the right wires together or you can buy it in a shop.

That's the dreambox showing up anyway so try changing the ip settings and saving them and the dchp thing.

Make sure firewall has an exeption for flashfxp.

I took your advice and made the cross over cable now in my network list i have an unidentified network but still cant make a connection to the dreambox

some people said the dchp won't assign anything if the computer is using the internet at the same time or if vista lan settings are incorrect, if everything is right and it just wont connect no matter what we'll have to get a working image uploaded for you so you won't need to ftp.

About 20 minutes but someone has to have the box and back it up and upload it, I don't have a dreambox I just done one for someone else so at the minute I can't upload one.

I have read this forum from start to finish several times and downloaded just about everything there is a link to but i cannot for the life of me see any "hyperlink 1.06" file

Any suggestions? apart from "cop on"

PS i have to download the files at my workplace then bring them home and try to flash the box, perhaps this is why i am only seeing one file when i download.........
