The Dbox fix works on Dreambox, but the Dreambox fix wouldn't work on Dbox would it now lol.

I was just reading the last few posts.does this mean there is a fix that works after you plug the box out.is there an updated bin file to load with the null cable.

I have tried every single option on the Forum
I can't load with Filezilla, so i am stuck now

hi guys.. thanks for these.. can someone advise exactly which folder i will be placing the 3 new hypercam files? is it var/keys ?? am i overwriting anything else with these new files?
cheers guys :)
PS: do i need to flash/upgrade the image also??

right need a bit of info ... tried flashing drembox the first linux ive tried .. downloaded dreamup and lennys complete file that was backed up (i hope) so i opened dreamup and got the ip for the box in expert and typed it in and left the pc ip alone and hit connect then plugged then back in the box and said no to flash erase then it flashed succesfully ... then plugged tv back in rebooted box then scanned channels back in then hit the blue button tux commander then went to var but there was no bin so went back out then and tried var_init /bin but no hypercam so do i have to try put them files on myself .. ive opened filezilla and have the file with the three files but what do i do cos ive no router .. i put in the ip in host then root then password dreambox but dont know what to do from here not sure what to put in port cos it keeps popping up with wrong ftp

To rooney 123 and david 1966-To fix the problem of the cam when you plug it out is- Quick way is to edit the evocam script in var/script and replace all instances of evocamd with hypercam,(just edit via notepad+). Reboot and it will start the cam

To superd06: You have to ftp the files into var/bin folder and not var/keys
If you are using dk1.1 it is the right image

To tempo2006: You cant ftp the files over without a router you will have to use one the images that has been uploaded. This is one of the images that has been uploaded recently that has seemed to work
although havent tested myself

Its frustrating reading this thread and seeing the problems lads are having getting the boxes to work, if you really cant get it sorted by reading the thread then get in touch, ill run through it with you, on Msn, or by phone, or someway thats in real time , shouldn't take more than 20 mins to do in all.
NOTE;
Its got to be a dreambox 500C 0r T, on cable or mmds and you got to have dream up software progarm OR flashfxp program,
both available to download on this site .

right lads reflashed the box there with the file westham put up which is the same file i already had im sure so im doing something wrong ... ive flashed straight onto the box but i didn`t erase any other software off the box should i delete something first i have null modem but dont have router and i think i have an enthernet cable (well it fits but dont know the difference between any of them)..... so the last time i flashed this is what ive done ..
opened dreamup
hit connect
left network unticked (first time i ticked it and typed in ip from box but left pc ip alone and flashed it)
so when connecting powered off and powered box back on
it says box alive and talking
hit the flash icon
searched for image and found it and hit select
then like to perform flash erase ..hit no.
then took 13 mins to flash and it flashed ok
comes up flashed succesful (or something near that)
so then plugged into telly
had to power box off and on to get remote responding again
went to shut down
hit reboot now
then went to setup service search for transponders on n*l ire bruteforce
startscan ..
channels come back in
then hit blue button go to tuxbox commander
i have two lists the same one on left and one on right
so i tried var (just above var_init)went into it
just has a list with etc. keys log mnt run scce script tuxbox uninstall .init tmp...
but no bin and the list on right is same
underneath is version 166 .........................................................................................
right lads sorry about long post but wanted to be clear but ive flashed hundreds of boxes but this is my first linux ( ive avoided them before cos of this happening)
but its for a friend and i want to save him wasting his money on another box
the box is brand new he only got a week out of it on nagra 1
so be easy on me any help much appreciated thanks

seem to be a problem with the xml files in that image posted on page 6 of this thread, scanning on all Irish cable options does not pickup all channels, most do come in on N*L Ireland bruteforce but not all, i needed to scan on all irish cable options which picked up a few more & also did a scan on N*L UK bruteforce (6887) which picked up a few more,..still a few missing from music,docs, maybe more, i was using a DW image (without fix) which did pickup all channels but loaded this new image today which is clearing the channels .fine

Delete all the old Nagra 1 keys/files in both keys & scce folders. Reboot box or restart hypercam. Which particular channels are they if they are on the one TP do a manual scan and it will pick them up.

checked folders, both empty,..did a manual scans SR 6887 from 291 upwards in steps of 8, nothing new, not bothered realy I just dug out the old DM to see if the fix worked,..using a KV anyway. thanks
