I've read guides and I know how to flash drives with Jungleflasher and iXtreme. A friend of mine has a broken LiteOn drive in his 360 and wants to replace it with another working LiteOn drive. Is there anything special/specific that needs to be done?
Read the key from the broken drive, and in Jungleflasher, hook up the replacement drive and load the broken drive's key and info as source? Thanks for the help
No, both drives are stock. He said it's been giving "Please insert an Xbox 360 game disc" when he tries to play 360 games(originals). It will play dvds and music cds.

i think that the drive has been erased and it has tried to be flashed sooo i havent got the key inquiry identify or dummy is there anything i can do to flash it or its it totally knackered and is it only useful for an expensive dvd player

First option I'd do in this situation is just pull the new laser and install it in the old drive.
If you go the flashing option, then obviously your friend will no longer have a stock console. Unless he also wants the iXtreme update, of course.
