According to a new blog post by the iPhone Dev Team, iPhone 3GS jailbreaking software is on the way, as the new updated device still has the same exploitable bootrom that past models have.

There's really no point of the cat chasing the mouse IF he can't catch the mouse. No matter how hard Apple tries to stop this, there's always someone ONE STEP AHEAD of Apple, plain and simple. If you expect Apple to catch these people, dream on, cause there will be someone to replace people that jailbreak the phone. - BLUEBOY
Sticking with the cat and mouse theme. Have you ever seen a cat chase the dot from a laser pointer? The cat will never be able to catch that dot, but they chase and chase and chase it. I can make my cat spin around in circles chasing it till she falls over dizzy.
It just the way it works. Apple will continue to make the phones "unhackable" and some will keep hacking it. Its like job security for both sides.
