Hi,
my backup of the conduit works in the main menu when the intro cinematic ends my wii says "The Game Disc could not be read. Refer to the Wii Operations Manual for details."
I have an original wiikey with the latest update and the disc is brand new so its not damaged by scratches or dirt

Same here, but mine only gets half way through the first sentence.

My Wii is softmodded, but I'm guessing the solution would be the same.

Maybe it was a bad dump??

Yeah, i think you guys got a bad back up. Mine plays all the way through. The only problems i notice i have is LAG online and occasional glitches through the game...like walls disappearing.

Everyone tell me both of your cIOS? I have cIos 38_ 13A and it works beautifully.

Do keep in mind I am running with a disk and using NeoGamma v4 (with no changes in the command line)

1) Backup Launcher is old. Neogamma is new http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158884
1A) to get the Neogamma Channel http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=165485
2) Superdump (Requires homebrew) dump your game in 30 minutes. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/780900
3) Make your Wii skip updates! Use preloader 0.29 and enable skip updates. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader
4) Scared of Bricking your Wii? Make an NAND backup! Install BootMii http://bootmii.org/install/

works great. cIOS38 rev13a, running from a disc and loading directly through disc channel.

Just an update. I was sure it was a bad dump, re-downloaded it and it worked fine, got ten minute into the game; then it froze and now it's showing the 'game disk could not be read' again every time I try to boot the game.

Could anyone PLEASE shed some light on why this might be? this is getting pretty annoying.

^ To the poster above, it might be the type of discs your using.

Just to let Newnie and anyone else who might have this problem know; I found out what the problem was a fair while back. The DVD burner on my laptop stopped working correctly, I used the DVD burner on my PC after and it worked fine. Thanks for trying to help though!

my backup runs fine on neogamma but when i go to multiplayer the game loads all awkwardly (freezes then unfreezes repeatedly) and when it finally starts the match my screen is mostly black and i am glitched and have absolutely no control of my player. any idea? would running the game of a flashdrive instead of a dvd help?
