So I softmodded my wii back in the fall with the Twilight Hack, but life has been busy and I haven't done much with my system since then. This week I picked up Conduit and Wii Speak and realized that I would have to do some updates if I wanted to play this on my Wii.

I am running 3.3u, so I downloaded cIOS rev 13 and installed that, along with the USB Loader. I then realized that I needed to update the Wii Shop to get my Wii Speak channel downloaded, so after some searching I found the Wii Shop and IOS51 installer. I threw those downloads on my SD card and ran then ran the IOS51 installer first.

This is where my problems began. The installer said "installation complete" and then hung. I left it for several hours and the screen never went away. I finally powered the system off and back on. I can still load the wii system menu and play backup copies of my game via backuploader, but HBC and my WAD Manager go straight to black screens now when I try to access them. This means I cannot install the new Shop channel to get my Wii Speak channel and I probably shouldn't try to put Conduit into the system, in case it updates and screws up my system.

Sooo... I admit that I'm definitely not an expert on this stuff. Can someone please tell me how to get my homebrew working again, Wii Speak downloaded and my system ready for some Conduit action? Thanks for your help.

btw, forgot to mention that I do not currently have a copy of TP. So if I need to reinstall homebrew somehow, please give me an alternative method if one exists.

You updated your Wii to a wrong Wii shop channel you should have used ios60/61. did you also update your HBC to 1.3? that might be the cause of the problem, so you need to re install the 1.1 version.
or go here and follow the guide..

So all I need to do is let the Nintendo servers update my Wii to 4.0 and then run the ISO60patched and everything will work?

Will I need to reinstall HBC? I did update my HBC today when I booted it up. I got a screen right as I started it up saying that I should update HBC. Is that a problem?
