i have a xbox 360 and a linksys broadband router. want two hardwire it two internet.don't plan on usiung xbox live. just want two connect two internet.can anybody give me a quide on how two do it
i want two play games online. like halo 3 , gears of war etc.
i hook everything up cat 5e cable, router. i get a dns error.
my ip test ok. don't know what is wrong. what all can you do online besides xbox live

Kiddo, you need Xbox Live Gold to play games online.
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.
There are 2 ways of playing games on the Xbox 360, one is Live, the other is using a program like x-link kai & system link. I wouldn't recommend the latter as you don't sound to technical.
Would recommend you fix your network problem and use Live. Follow the guide on Plusnet's (A UK ISP) Website HERE AFAIK, this is the only guide with the NXE setup. Even m$ are using the old dashboard

xbox live. Can you suft the net etc. does it have a browser, can you play the games via game servers for the specified games. Are these stupid questions if you didn't know anything about xbox.
anyhow i have the dsn error. I'am using broadband internet, linksys
router and pc. I have it hardwired, cat 5 cable running from router
two xbox. My pc is able two go online so that checks out.
xbox goes two the dsn part and fails, it obtains the ip address
any serious help. Everything is set two auto in xbox settings
