Starview support ,is it a load of rubbish?

I decided to start this thread,to find out what other users think of the way starview has abandoned there other products and now only supports their latest box ,the sv4 usb.Any time it's mentioned on any other thread somebody complains and says it shouldn't be talked about . So this thread is for us moaners.
What do you think?

if we were told boxes are too old for repairs/upgrade at least u would know finally,or maybe it takes longer to get a fix for an older box so not worth doing.
think it might be a long thread.

Maybe they are feeling a little short of money and would like to deprive you of more of your hard earned money selling you some of the same crap again.

well we live and learn, when something goes wrong there's no support from starview, i bought mine 12 months ago so it aint that old, and still no support, simple solution is never to buy a starview again!i know that aint much help for all of us who bought them but think of the money it saved, and go and buy a box that is supported! i bet there is a solution out there but it isnt bein released yet....

Only 12 months ,I tought I was bad, I've mine about 18 months. It's a bit like micros*ft saying no support for XP because Vista is out!

My point exactly Shaneh, but I've noticed everytime somebody 'gives out' about starview one of the regulars comes on and says there's no point and we're told to get over it.
while not many will buy starviews in Ireland , the dealers are still selling them in the UK and they don't like us giving out because they have alot of stock to sell.
