i bought wii and i want to play through hdd
so what is the better hack
a chip or a software?
also my wii is pal and v3.4

conisdering that some mod chip user report conflicts and issues with booting certain backups i would have to say softmod ftw....

i have a softmodded wii thx to these forums and it's awesome...boots everything i threw at it so far ever out of region stuff without a chip...

i have a hardmodded wii but using softmodded to play the newer games. since theres a block of some sort on the 4.0 FW. i say go with softmodded.

Ha! I was just about to say the same thing about softmodding since I see a whole lot of softmodding problems flooding this board recently.

Softmodding was at one time in the recent past (and still may be) known to NOT be 100% compatible.

I have a Wiikey (orig.) and have not had a problem with a backup yet. I am at 4.0U and I have tested over 200 backups.
