Ok so ive been trying to do the Xclamp fix on a friends broken 360, when i first got it there were four red lights when i turned it on and the psu showed green, but while attempting the Baking part of the fix i realized that the PSU would blink green then go immediately to yellow.
I thought this might have been a problem with the way i put on the heat sinks so i retried putting the heat sinks on several times. No avail, also i cant find any noticable scratches and i did all work on the 360 on the ground so im not sure if i could have shorted it.
SHould i give up on the 360 or do something different?
4 blinking red lights is not the Red Ring of Death. The AV cable is unplugged. If it truly had RRoD, plug in an AV cable when you try to bake the GPU, that should keep the PSU from going to yellow.
That because my friend constantly did the towel trick to attempt to fix it, it would stay 4 rings for a couple of hours then back to three, and i tried plugging in the AV cable but it didnt help, it just blinks from green to yellow
