Status 0x80 problems

I have flashed several 360 drives hitachi samsung benq but when i try and flash a liteon jungleflasher freezes while flashing which makes the drive come back with the 0x80 status. My question is can you fix a drive from 0x80 status? And does the computer freeze because of the memory or what?

Are you using the VIA SATA card? If so you will need to remove the driver.

1. Disable VIA card in Device Manager.
2. Go to C:\WINDOWS\System32\drivers and remove "viamraid.sys" or "vsmraid.sys".
3. Re-enable VIA card in Device Manager.
4. Re-Boot PC.

Yes, you can recover a Lite-ON that has no firmware.

Keep the Lite-ON connected to the same SATA port you have been using. Select the same I/O Port in Jungle Flasher under MTKFlash tab. It won't show any drive properties because the Lite-ON has no firmware. Click Lite-ON erase and hit OK twice and then power cycle the drive within 1 second. Should get good flash chip properties (status 0x72).

With the BenQ you won't click Lite-ON erase. You will either want to use BenQ unlock or click Intro/Device ID, and power cycle when prompted to get good flash chip properties (status 0x73). If you have your custom firmware ready to go in target (iXtreme + your DVDKey) you can click write. If you haven't read the firmware, you will need to do so.
I have a stock BenQ tutorial in my signature that could help you out.

Thank you so much. Have you heard anything on these new liteon drives coming out. i just flashed a brand new xbox with the 1.6 firmware and it took and worked great but it didnt read any of the games that took the 1.51 firmware or higher. So when i tried to reflash it with 1.51 thats when my system locked up.

What problem did it give when you tried to play the game? Also did you flash it with the Lite-ON-repack? There was a version of Lite-ON ix1.6 firmware that won't play wave 3 games. Make sure you have the repack version.

No it wasnt the repack thanks so much. i have the first files that came out. where can i get the new files? was it just the liteon firmware that was bad

It was a beta version I guess or something along those lines that was released on accident.

Here is a link to ix1.6 for Lite-ON. It doesn't say re-pack on it because I renamed it. But Jungle Flasher will recognize its MD5 as genuine.
