ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.
Ok thanks for the reply. another thing, i've read somewhere that when doing the update, it must not be interrupted because it can screw-up the console.. is there an alternative way of doing the update like using cd, usb or something? if so, where can i download that files? thanks again ^_^
depends on what the update is for, if its a game update, then no, you have to use the game disc as it downloads it from the LIVE servers, if its the NXE update, then you can download it from microsucks website and burn it to a cd, or put it on a usb stick and install it that way. but why not just let it update as it normally would? what would cause it to get interrupted?

I have a very annoying issue regarding my linksys router and 360. sometimes it connects successfully (but oftentimes disconnects) and sometimes it doesn't. btw what decided to download the game update and got disconnected from live, will my console get screwed-up?
You will always get disconnected from Live when you launch a game and an update is available for it. This is to ensure that only people who have installed the update can play on Live, as the unpatched version might allow glitches and cheats.
What happens is, you launch the game, you get disconnected from Live and told that an update is available, you say yes and it installs (usually only takes a few seconds), the game restarts and you're automatically signed back into Live again.
If you say no to the update, you can't play it online. If you accidentally say no, just exit the game and restart it and you'll be prompted to update again. None of this stuff affects modded consoles, because it's just patches and fixes for games.
