Hi I have a ck3 pro kit and stupidly plugged the power cable upside down in the hitachi drive and think i blew something in the drive board (no laser, motor, tray movement) It still shows in windows and can go in mode b (stalls a lot but manages) but I can't read the key as windows keeps trying to read a disc from it and it won't respond to windows saying no disc.
Please someone help me just to get the key from it.
If you aren't able to read the firmware off of the drive, the TSOP will need to be desoldered off of the drive and read in an external programmer. And hope the TSOP didn't get fried.
Try the classic method dump and see if you can get a DVDkey.
