Playing backups on other consoles

One of my friends wants to borrow a game (Xmen Origins Wolverine). I have all my games backed up and don't want to give him the original (he tends to treat his games really badly). Does he have to have a modded xbox? Flashed? Or can he just play it as is on his stock console?

tell him to get it modded if he edited by ddp his disks all the time just need to burn a fresh copy :D and saves a hell of alot of money:D

I was wondering if the mod made it so you could make the copy or play the copy or both. That's what I was asking. And I don't think about how it works. Cuz I don't know.

It's just common sense. Of course the other console has to be modded.

Yea seems like common sense to me, if you have no time to play doctor with your toys then i'm suprized you have time to play them

Yeah, I really wish people would use common sense. It bugs me when I upload a game on Demonoid and get over 9000 comments asking is their console has to be modded.

Wow! This guy has a modded console, and plays burned discs, yet wants to know if his friend's console has to be modded to play burned games?!?!
Translation: I was wondering if I can play burned games on my stock console, but I don't want to come across sounding dumb.

It's just common sense though man. If your mate could play copied games on an unmodded console, then so could everyone.

Thanks for the help guys. It's really great that these forums exist so people can ask questions. If only people would get over themselves and just answer questions without attempting to make someone sound stupid. I modded my xbox because I have a child and don't feel like paying $60 for a game just so my 9 year old could destroy the disc. My question, basically, was if the mod and the flash was to make the image and play the disc, or if the flash was the part that made the disc readable, or what exactly the different actions do. I didn't look into that, I simply made it possible for my xbox to do what I wanted it to. Thanks again, and seriously, try not talking down to people on a help forum. Kind of defeats the purpose, no?

I don't/never had an "edit post" button. I just assumed it was like some of the other forums I've seen, where you have to have a certain post count to get the "privilege" to edit.
So I guess yes, it's broken. What made you notice?
