updated to 4.0, can't install HBC

I had the HBC installed and everything and updated from 3.4u to 4.0u. when I did, my SD card stopped working. it works when there's nothing on it though
I formatted the card and my wii and went to try and install it again and no luck.
any way for me to do it? or am I just out of luck now
