Hi, I my Wii is currently at version 3.3U and I installed the HBC with the Twilight hack. Now the thing is I had the WiiGator loader v0.1 now I downloaded the version 0.3 Gamma but I don't get the WAD thing. I installed the cISO that came with the Gamma version but didn't deinstall any other first so I'm not sure if I had to? Now I tried booting Naruto EX3 which is copied on a DVD+R but it doesn't work, I always get the DVD error (324). I also tried booting Tales of Symphonia for Gamecube but all I get is a green screen. Now, I don't know what to do to make the copied games work so if anyone could help me out I'd really appreciate it.

Or could someone simply tell me if I can update my Wii to version 4.0 and just reinstall everything (HBC and WiiGator0 or do I have to do something with the WAD and stuff like that?

cIOS is the better term to use. When I see cISO I think of the format the is already prepared to go onto a USB device.

It you installed the cIOS that came with WiiGator, then it likely isn't one of the ones that have to be uninstalled. You would get an error (can't remember of the top of my head which one)

It's best to use high quality DVD-R media such as Verbatim. Either your media or your cIOS is the cause of your 324.

For Tales of Symphonia, Gamma isn't for Gamecube games. You need Gamecube Backup Launcher for that.

Updating to 4.0 doesn't remove HBC or WiiGator. If you do it I'd install cIOS first (which it sounds like you already have) so you don't have to downgrade IOS35.

But when I go to WiiGator I believe that it's written in the bottom right corner IOS246 I think (I'm sure it's 2XX), is that okay? And also, just to be sure, can I normally (using wireless connection) update my Wii to the latest update?

Can someone please answer these questions:

1. Can I update my Wii to the latest update without any problems?

2. Should I install the GC backup launcher before or after updating my Wii?

3. Do I need a specefic DVD drive to burn Wii games? And if so can you explain to me how to do it?

Thanks in advance!

1. You can but I would at least make sure that I have a cIOS first.

2. GC Backup Launcher just goes on the SD card, you don't install it. You do have to patch the MIOS but you can do that when you want to.

3. You don't need specific drive to burn Wii games. All you have to do is use ImgBurn and burn at 4x speed.
You need a special drive to rip legit store bought games to your computer.

Edit: I just saw your previous post and it looks like I didn't get back to you. If you are using gamma to run back ups and you see IOS249 in it then you have a cIOS. You can update fine.

Normal DVDs will be fine. Super Smash Bros Brawl is the game you would need a dual layered DVD for but there is also a DVD5 version of Brawl.
