Playing New Wii Games Problem

As it says in the title i cant play any of the newest pal games. And i would really really really really appreciate help. Most games i download are from http://www.espalwii.com. im running on 3.2U and dont have much experience with the whole mod and burning games to play. When i run some games it goes black after pressing start on the disc channel. Games like naruto clash of ninja 2 revolution, resident evil umberella chronicles resident evil 4, raymans raving rabbits work but recently games i downloaded like virtua tennis transformers 2 and mario party 8 have received black screen. The thing is, For mario party 8 i got a scrubbed version from 4.37gb to 1.5gbcompressed. The 1.5gb compressed works but the larger one doesnt. I think this means theres a way to make the newer games work.i have the HBC Gecko OS WIi scrubber and Generic wii patcher. I dont know it i should update the wii firmware but it says it could harm my wii system. Anyone have any small info or anything that could help? Thanks.

(if u find spelling mistakes or things i left out please post.)

Those newer games need IOSes from the higher firmwares. You can extract the IOS files and install them or you can update to 4.0 (which I think is the better idea)

i dont know how my wii is modified but i think it has a modchip if i update my wii to 4.0 will i lose anything or break my wii? o.o
