ive recently found the 8x bulkpaq (RICOHJPND01) dye the best disks ever, however i think theyve stopped manufacturing them and they only make the 2.4x speed now which has various dye (CMC MAG D04)

i was going to buy some datawrite red tops as they have the RICOHJPND01 dye but ive read a lot of bad reviews

Ive had no luck with verbatim, i detest them!
Aone are RICOHJPND01 but ive had 9 coasters out of 10

The only other one ive tried are both the arita which i usually get 3 or 4 fail out of 25 at the end of burning
and the purple traxdata are alright i guess but bit expensive

ye so im lookin for a cheap 25 pack of dual layers for the 360, i was thinking either datawrite red tops or datawrite titaniums, any input would be brill

if you are having no luck with verbs, then you need to look into getting a new burner, as there is no reason for a dual layer verb to be bad, even if its an MII.

Come talk with us on efnet at #elitemods !!! or just click ME

ALSO, DO NOT SEND ME MESSAGES ON LIVE REGARDING MODDING CONSOLES, OR HOW I PLAYED A CERTAIN GAME EARLY. I WILL NOT RESPOND. I WILL INSTEAD DELETE YOUR MESSAGE, AND BLOCK ALL COMMUNICATION FROM YOU. JUST SEND ME A PM ON HERE.

supermediastore has FTI FalconMedia 8x. They use the RICOHJPN D01 dye but I don't know, that much, about their reliability as they are new.

Agreed. Look for a firmware update for your current burner first, but if that doesn't help then I'd get a new burner as they're as cheap as a 25 pack of Verbatims these days.

Yeah, Verbatims are the best but also quite expensive. Myself and nearly a dozen friends all use Memorex. Yes, we've had a couple bad spindles but of all the spindles we've bought, it's a very low ratio.

verbatims or taiyo yudens. myself prefer verbs, but i've been hearing taiyos are in the same class.

nothing less. doesn't matter if they're expensive. they last, and have the quality behind them. quality over quantity.

Taiyo Yuden do not make Dual Layers. Also I agree with the quality over quantity.

no wonder they aren't mentioned in the 360 section. but they are still high class media.

you need to definitely replace your burner. If you do that, all your problems should be solved because all the media you talked about works... including verbatim and memorex. Ive been using them for a long time now.

Taiyo Yuden are the best media you can buy usually, but they only make dl-r and not dl+r cause apparently -r is alot more popular in japan
