A good start would be reading any of the 10 or so threads a week posted on this subject.

why use dvd decrypter when imgburn is the UPDATED version of it.

and you need the LG drive to read ANY original wii disc.

ps2: v7 scph-39001 - independence exploit - hdloader 0.8c - maxtor 300gb hdd
(+[__]%) psp slim ta-085v1: 6.60 PRO B10
wii (powered by bootmii/priiloader): 4.1u - d2x v10beta53-alt (base 56) - configurable usb loader v70r51/devolution r188 - wd scorpio black 7200rpm 320gig w/ ams venus ds2 enclosure

got a whole lot more to list . . .

No.

I can only speak to the (corrected) ripping in a PC scenario.

You need LG-816x DVD-ROM drive. (A few others might work)
Rawdump or Friidump software.

Sorry, but you do NOT need any specific drive to BURN the game. Any type of DVD burner will do just fine.

However if you want to READ a Wii game, or to rip it. That is when you need the Lg-816x DVD-ROM drive.

Other then that, just download imgburn
1) open Write image file to disc
2)Source (where the .iso is located)
3)Then click on the img that you see on the bottom and that will start the burning process.

I do not have an Lg dvd rom and I am able to burn Wii games just fine, I just can't read the games (Of course I can read them on my Wii, just not on my PC).

Also: back up launcher channel is old, download NeoGamma which is an updated version of the back up launcher channel. http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=159099

1) Backup Launcher is old. Neogamma is new http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=158884
1A) to get the Neogamma Channel http://www.gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=165485
2) Superdump (Requires homebrew) dump your game in 30 minutes. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/780900
3) Make your Wii skip updates! Use preloader 0.29 and enable skip updates. http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Preloader
4) Scared of Bricking your Wii? Make an NAND backup! Install BootMii http://bootmii.org/install/
