gecko os for wii (help required- homebrew)

I have bought a wii (made in korea), i saw that gecko os 1.9 channel is installed. I do not see any channel called the homebrew channel, does it mean that the homebrew channel is absent. I read somewhere that homebrew channel is pre-requisite for gecko os. can somebody clarify??
so if I need to play backup games what do i do?? do i need to install something else.

uhm i dont know about gecko os 1.9 already in there but i just installed it in my homebrew browser in my HBC. If u want HBC you can youtube how to get it with or without the twilight hack(dont know anything about it) i got HBC without the twilight hack or whatever

thanks.. but i want to know if homebrew is already installed even though I am not able to see a homebrew channel?? because to install gecko OS u need HBC right?? or was the HBC removed after installing gecko OS.. is there any method to ascertain whether HBC was/is installed on my wii??

If you don't see HBC then you don't have it. There's no where for it to hide outside of the 4 pages of channels on the Wii's System Menu.

It is possible to install HBC, then install GeckoOS, and then remove HBC.
